During the tour, the world-renowned kaval (traditional Shepards flute) virtuoso Theodosii Spassov and his colleagues will present dazzling performances of beautiful traditional Bulgarian music, arranged and presented in a very unique and exciting manner. Their virtuosity and music would be thrilling not only to the Bulgarian communities, but also very appealing to the wider north-American audience.
The concerts of Theodosii Spassov Folk Quintet are part of a Canada/US tour, dedicated to the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018. It is conducted with the assistance of Bulgarian cultural organizations and consulates in the United States and Canada and under the auspices of Embassies of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ottawa and Washington.
